About the project

Our client, a software development company specializing in revenue analysis and optimization solutions for SaaS companies, approached us with a request to design a website for their new SaaS platform. The website would serve as a hub for potential customers to learn about the platform's features, pricing, and the benefits it provides to SaaS companies. The goal was to create a website that would deliver a user-friendly experience, showcasing the platform's unique features and benefits, and increasing conversion rates.

Website Design Approach

We began the project by conducting research on the target audience, which consisted of SaaS companies looking to optimize their revenue analysis processes. Based on this research, we developed a design approach that focused on delivering a clear and concise message to the audience.

About the project

When creating a user experience for a website aimed at building SaaS, it's important to prioritize user engagement and ease of use. The website should be designed to be visually appealing and intuitive, with clear calls-to-action that guide users towards desired behaviors, such as signing up for a free trial or purchasing a subscription. A key consideration should be ensuring that the website is mobile-responsive, given the increasing importance of mobile devices in our daily lives. Additionally, incorporating social proof, such as customer reviews and testimonials, can help establish credibility and encourage users to take action. Finally, it's important to continuously test and iterate on the user experience, incorporating feedback from users to optimize the website's performance and drive growth.

Storyboard for animation

To bring Sightfull’s product story to life, we ran a tight, collaborative flow with our After Effects expert and the client. First, we sat with the team to understand the narrative—who the user is, what problem they face, and how Sightfull solves it. From there, we built a clear storyboard that mapped every scene, transition, and key message. Using that storyboard as our production brief, we created a first draft in After Effects to validate pacing, motion language, and visual hierarchy. Finally, we iterated with the client to fine-tune timing, emphasis, and micro-interactions until the animation felt effortless and on-brand.

Why do storyboard matter?

It’s the creative “specification” for motion, just like a brief before developing a website or app. It aligns everyone on scope, sequence, and messaging, reduces rework, and keeps production fast and predictable

B2B Design approach

The new website design and user experience were well received by our client and their target audience of SaaS companies. The design and messaging were effective in communicating the value proposition of the platform, and the clear and simple navigation helped users quickly find the information they needed. The calls-to-action were also effective in encouraging users to sign up for a trial or request more information, resulting in an increase in lead generation and sales for the client. Overall, the website design and user experience project was a success, delivering a modern, user-friendly, and effective website that met the needs of both the client and their target audience.

Creating a marketing design language

Creating a marketing language for a start-up involves developing a cohesive visual style that aligns with the brand's identity and messaging. This can include defining a color palette, typography, imagery, and other design elements that will be used consistently across all marketing materials.
The design language should also be flexible enough to accommodate different mediums and formats, such as print ads, social media graphics, and website banners. It's important to keep the target audience in mind when creating the design language, and ensure that it resonates with their preferences and interests.
Additionally, incorporating brand storytelling and values into the design can help establish an emotional connection with potential customers and differentiate the start-up from competitors. Overall, a strong marketing design language can help the start-up website effectively communicate its value proposition, drive engagement and conversions.
