Cynet

About the project

Cynet is a cybersecurity company helping lean security teams detect, prevent and respond to threats. They came to us with strong technology and momentum – but without a visual identity or design system that matched their product. Over a multi-year partnership, we defined a distinct cyber brand, built an illustration-led visual language and turned it into a scalable design system that powered their website, marketing assets, reports and campaigns – all the way through their acquisition by a US company.

Create a recognizable cybersecurity brand and a reusable design system that Cynet’s teams could apply across every touchpoint.

Goal

The Challenge

Cynet was growing fast, but their visual presence lagged behind. They didn’t just need a “new website”, they needed a design system that was the brand: consistent, flexible and easy to reuse.

Our Approach

Instead of designing page by page, we started with the foundations. We aligned on a core narrative: Take the complexity out of cybersecurity so lean teams can feel in control again.

Illustration-Led Brand Language

To replace generic imagery, we created a custom illustration system: Isometric-inspired scenes showing incidents, analysts and automated response Reusable characters, devices and props for flexible storytelling Visual metaphors (timers, paths, waves, sharks, magic wands) for risk and protection A focused color and line style that works across web, slides, PDFs and large prints This illustration style became the face of the brand, instantly recognizable across the site, partner pages, ebooks and campaigns.

The Design System

With the language defined, we turned it into a flexible system.
Foundations
Color tokens for core and alert states, a typographic scale for dense B2B content, and spacing/layout rules that keep complex pages light and readable.
Components

Hero sections, proof bars, grids and cards, reusable blocks for benefits, use cases, FAQs and CTAs, plus modular diagram templates for system architecture and incident-response flows.

Because the brand and system were built together, every new asset – from a one-screen landing page to a 20-page report – felt like part of one cohesive story.
